We haven’t always been into BBQ’s, in fact, the team at Little Wombat has been manufacturing products and components for brewing for over 35 years. From Stainless Steel beer kegs, to the beer that goes into them along with all the adjuncts, the business grew to become what is currently the world’s largest home brew beer kit producer. It seemed a natural progression to create a unique barbecue, after all, there’s no denying that beer and barbecues certainly go well together. The concept for the Little Wombat also came about, in part, from an ongoing unresolved issue of bans being placed on lighting campfires. In many places today it’s no longer permitted to just light a fire on the ground. Safety concerns for campers and long term ground surface damage threw a bucket of cold water on a much enjoyed traditional activity. Our patented, non vented, insulated firebox design won’t allow hot ash and embers to drop to the ground, all the while meeting the needs of barbecue devotee’s who also enjoy sitting around a fire. As it turns out, our concept has been extremely well received, and the great feedback from our customers has a common theme, the Little Wombat is a social tool that generates hours of good times and conversation while relaxing around an open fire after a delicious meal cooked over charcoal.
